I am Sacagawea by Brad Meltzer is a well-written biography for children in kindergarten through third grade. This book is not only a good Social Studies biography, but can also be used to teach cultural differences and critical thinking. Sacagawea was the only girl and Native American to go with Lewis and Clark on their expedition.
