Golem by David Wisniewski is a Jewish legend about a clay man given life to destroy the persecutors of the Jews. But the rabbi realizes that he created death instead of justice and so destroys the clay man. This book is a heavier book that should be used for higher grades to discuss the ideas of moral consequences and justice. It can also be used to teach word choice and vocabulary.
